History
Harford Christian School has enjoyed an excellent academic reputation since the school’s founding in 1966. Our devoted and professional staff members approach the task of Christian education with enthusiasm. The scope and sequence of the curriculum is founded upon a comprehensive biblical worldview, culminating in a broad and diverse high school offering of courses in English, math, science, Bible and foreign language.

Harford Christian School is committed to biblical worldview in all of our instruction. For that reason, the overwhelming majority of our commercial curriculum is purchased from Christian companies such as BJU Press and Abeka publishers. Graduation Requirements include 4 credits each in Bible, Math and English, 3 credits in Science and Social Studies, 2 in Technology and 2 electives, 1 each in Foreign Language, Health/PE, and Fine Arts along with 75 hours of Community Service.
Harford Christian School utilizes a weighted gradient GPA scale (see PDF below). Ten honors courses are offered that are weighted higher in the grade point average calculation. Since institutions are not standardized with gpa calculation, HCS will provide a letter with the College Board GPA calculation for an individual student who may be pursuing scholarships or college/university admissions.
